The Astrological Map of the Death of a Valued American
I have never been affected so much by the death of someone I didn’t know than when I heard that Charlie Kirk was shot at his rally in Orem, Utah. I knew little about him and didn’t really follow his podcast, but I did see short videos of him and admired him for his respectable demeanor and passion for his ideals and beliefs.
Charlie Kirk represented the ideal traditional American and he was on a mission to encourage the youth of America to partake in the civil system and learn how to be ideal citizens. He encouraged American patriotism and warned against the systems and ideologies that he saw as a threat to American life. For many of the younger generation, he is a hero. Now, he will be considered a martyr.
As astrologers, we’re always looking to find correspondences between events on Earth and the movement of the planets, and although Charlie Kirk may not have approved or agreed with astrology, his untimely passing warrants astrological research as we do our best to honor him in the way astrologers know how to do.

Who was Charlie Kirk?
Charlie showed signs of being a charismatic and political leader early in his life. Born Charles James Kirk on October 14, 1993, he was raised in Arlington Heights, a suburb just outside of Chicago, Illinois.
His mother, Kimberly Ann Kirk apparently works as a mental health counselor and his father, Robert K. Kirk is an architect who worked on the building of Trump Tower. Kirk was a member of the Scouts of America and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank one can achieve in the Boy Scouts.
In high school, Kirk showed interest in politics as he volunteered for the Senate campaign of Republican Mark Kirk. He also created a campaign in his school to reverse a price raise for cookies. One of his first public appearances was on Fox Business after writing an essay proclaiming that the school textbooks were written with a liberal bias.
Charlie’s path toward political activism was sealed when he met Tea-Party backed legislative candidate Bill Montgomery, who urged Charlie to pursue political activism full-time. Charlie then created Tuning Point USA, which was then funded by Wyoming businessman, Foster Freiss in 2012. Not many people would decide to pursue political activism at age 18, but that is what Charlie did and that is how he came to prominence.
Turning Point USA snowballed into a multi-media legacy whose goals were to educate American youth with an “America first” mindset. He wanted to instill traditional American ideals to combat the growing influence of anti-American ideas and ideology.
Charlie also used Turning Point to reinvigorate Christian church leaders to get them more active in politics. The goal was to get churches and their pastors to be more civilly active to address the issues that caused the decline of church participation and spiritual decay throughout America.
Charlie was an avid supporter of President Donald Trump, viewing him as the person who could help restore the same American ideals he was hoping to restore.
The Romance Between Charlie and His Wife Erika
Charlie worked closely with his wife, Erika, who had started her own non-profit Everyday Heroes Like You in 2006. Charlie’s religious background in his early life is less clear, but Erika is said to have been raised in a Catholic family.
She spent her early life volunteering in soup kitchens with her mother and used her beauty to win pageants to contribute back to her community. Erika went on to win Miss Arizona USA in 2012 (the same year that Charlie started Turning Point) and went on to get a Juris Master degree and doctorate in Christian Leadership.
Charlie and Erika shared the same philanthropic ideals, religious values, leadership skills, and desire to give other people opportunities. A look at their charts together show Erika’s Pluto conjunct Charlie’s Mars and Erika’s Sun conjunct Charlie’s Pluto all in Scorpio.
This powerful combination shows an ability to be powerful, effective, resolute, and unwilling to bend when it comes to what they believe in. Erika’s Venus is conjunct Charlie’s Jupiter in Libra, showing her attraction to his ideals of fairness. Both have chart signatures of being effective leaders. This combined with their shared ideals made them perfect for one another. One purpose, one vision, one unit, one flesh.
Born to be a Leader of a New Generation
We don’t have a birth time for Charlie, so we don’t know what his Ascendant (rising sign) could be. I set the time for 12:00 PM. The first thing I noticed about Charlie’s chart was his Sun conjunct Jupiter in Libra. He was born during a New Moon in Libra, with the chart at 12PM showing the Moon at 10 degrees Libra.
The Sun conjunct Jupiter is what immediately let me know that he was born to be a leader. The New Moon added to that indicates that he would be a leader of a new generation of people. He also has Saturn at 23 degrees Aquarius in retrograde, which trines his Sun and Jupiter. Saturn is at home in Aquarius, being its traditionally ruled sign. The trine to the Sun-Moon-Jupiter conjunction reveals that his kind of leadership would involve reinstating (retrogrades: think redo, reinstate, revisit, etc.) traditional values because Saturn is associated with the status-quo and traditions.
His Saturn placement is likely what made him characteristically traditional. Saturn in Aquarius represents the side of Saturn that is more open to considering new ideas, but only through the lens of traditional ideas. To disregard the old without any consideration in favor of the new is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
Charlie recognized that the answer to spiritual decay was not to do away with spirituality, but to find what worked according to past traditions. Christian traditions for Charlie meant a cohesive family unit, active participation in civil life, respect and dignity for all human beings made in God’s image, and a central moral foundation that allowed everyone who believed to share the same values.
These are the same values in which the American Constitution was founded, and the same ones Charlie wanted to uphold and revitalize. It seemed like it was very important to Charlie that people with opposing viewpoints could at least acknowledge his viewpoint and learn how to respectfully disagree. It never seemed like he was out to convert people or forcibly change their minds. That would go against the kind of openness that Saturn in Aquarius represents.
Plus, with Saturn’s energy being channeled through Jupiter, the Sun, and the Moon in Libra, the last thing Charlie would have wanted was someone to accept his views uncritically. His goal was to get people to think for themselves, and his demeanor during his debates reflected that.
Charlie Kirk - The Spiritual Rebel
The other aspect that immediately jumped out at me was Uranus exactly conjunct Neptune at 18 degrees Capricorn. Uranus represents our ideals and desire for progression. Neptune represents our dreams and our connection to spirituality.
Combined, this shows someone who is willing to stand up for what they believe in at all costs. It is the rebel who is so connected to their spirituality that they know they can put their full faith in what they do.
Uranus-Neptune conjunctions only happen once every 171 years, so this is an incredibly unique characteristic that some other people born in 1993 share. It’s extremely rare to be born under the exact conjunction, so Charlie was clearly meant to have a unique destiny that involved him standing up for what he believed in.
Charlie Kirk Karma and Destiny
Charlie had his North Node at 3 degrees Sagittarius, which shows that his destiny involved religious/spiritual awakening. Sagittarius is the seeker of truth, and in Charlie’s view, that truth was found through faith in Jesus. Combined with the other major characteristics of his chart, this nodal axis shows the way to find and express that truth is by communicating (Gemini). Charlie became popular for his university (Sagittarius is associated with universities) visits, where he would ask the students to take a stance against him.
This is where his Mercury conjunct Mars in Scorpio came into play. He would have fair, good faith debates with the students to enable them to think about their own viewpoints differently.
Charlie was incredibly effective at getting the upper hand in his debates, but he always remained calm and respectful with the people he disagreed with (that’s where his good nature shown by his Sun-Moon-Jupiter in Libra shines).
Mercury conjunct Mars in Scorpio has an incredible ability for memory retention, which really expressed itself through Charlie’s ability to bring up facts and information relevant to his debates.
I once saw him recite scripture to someone who was trying to use Biblical scripture against him. Charlie’s interlocutor couldn’t even mention the chapter he was trying to use, but Charlie pulled out the exact verses and explained to him how he was misusing the ideas, and even gave him an opportunity to try and explain his position again.
Charlie Kirk Political Planetary Aspects
Another aspect I noticed after looking at the charts again is Saturn retrograde in
Aquarius square Pluto in Scorpio. This is a very close aspect, being only one degree apart. Saturn-Pluto squares and oppositions occur during times of great difficulty and stress.
The civil unrest in the 1960s had Saturn opposite Pluto. The COVID19 pandemic occurred right as Saturn conjoined Pluto. The square in Charlie’s chart indicates the same kind of tension and unrest at the time of his birth, and he would have carried that tension throughout his life.
His solution for that tension was to engage as many people as he could and probe (Scorpio) them to question their thoughts (Aquarius, air sign = thoughts) to allow them to think and understand their views for themselves. Charlie might not have had the motivation to be so proactive politically if not for the Saturn-Pluto square, so it’s an essential part to who he was and what he did.
Charlie Kirk's Family Values
Beyond being a skilled speaker and leader, Charlie was family oriented. His family values were such an important part of his faith and it’s the love that he had for his family that he also tried sharing with all the people he interacted with.
This is why Charlie is so important. His life shown by his chart and his actions are all geared toward what he saw as the betterment of society: the restoration of family values, the engagement of youth and clergy in civil affairs, trust in the values in which our governmental system was created, the ability to agree to disagree and have civil dialogue with those who disagree with you, faith in an overarching structure that guides us and gives us shared values, the recognition of the dangers posed by other value systems.
He took seemingly harsh stances against viewpoints that he deemed dangerous to the American mindset, but he took the time to think through why those ideas would be dangerous. He recognized the pain and suffering of others and wanted to use his power (Mercury, Mars, Pluto in Scorpio) to eliminate the ideas that he saw as being responsible for causing civil unrest and spiritual decay.
Regardless of whether or not anyone agrees with his specific viewpoints, Charlie made it clear that the only way to move forward was to learn how to understand each other through dialogue. That is the essence of his work, represented by his Sun-Moon-Jupiter conjunction in Libra trine Saturn retrograde in Aquarius.
Charlie Kirk’s Numerology
Charlie Kirk carries the numerological Life Path number 1, a vibration associated with leadership, independence, and pioneering energy. In numerology, the number 1 symbolizes the origin point—the spark that initiates, the individualist who seeks to carve their own way rather than follow the crowd.
Those with this path are often trailblazers, intent on shaping the world according to their vision. When you consider Kirk’s rise as the founder of Turning Point USA, the Life Path 1 themes are apparent.
He stepped into political activism at a young age, carving out his place in a competitive arena where confidence and decisiveness are essential. The number 1 often thrives when given the freedom to be bold, assertive, and unafraid of controversy—traits Kirk has leaned on to establish himself as a recognizable voice in American conservatism.

In Chinese astrology, Charlie Kirk was born in the year of the Water Rooster, a sign that combines the Rooster’s natural assertiveness, attention to detail, and love of order with the Water element’s adaptability and persuasive communication skills.

This is the date, time, and place when Charlie was shot during the middle of his rally at the Utah Valley University. Looking at death in a chart must be an exercise in caution because it is not ethical practice to predict someone’s death or to blame any planets as being the cause of death. With that being said, there are some shocking transits that are hard to overlook at the time of Charlie’s shooting.
You’ll notice that I placed the shooting event on the inside of the chart wheel. I did this to see what sign was rising on the Ascendant at that moment. We may not have Charlie’s Ascendant, but knowing what sign was rising at the time gives us additional information.
The first aspect I noticed was transiting Mars at 22 degrees Libra conjunct his Sun. Mars is named after the god of war and carries associations of energy, drive, violence, forcefulness, aggression, and severance.
The traditional symbol for Mars was a knife to signify its tendency to sever. When transiting Mars conjuncts a natal Sun, there is a potential for conflict or violence done to a person’s life force, vitality, spirit, or character.
Similar Astrological Aspects Between Donald Trump’s Assassination Attempt
A similar characteristic manifested during the attempted assassination of Donald Trump where transiting Mars was conjunct transiting Uranus in Taurus, both squaring his natal Mars placement. A key phrase for Mars in Libra is a conflict of ideas, and that’s exactly what Charlie was engaging in at the time and what he was known for doing.
Charlie Kirk Shooting Scorpio Influence
The second aspect I noticed was the Ascendant at that time was about 20 degrees Scorpio, which had just gone over his natal Mars and Mercury in Scorpio. The Ascendant is associated with the body and the physical presence of a person, yet another indication of something physical happening to the body.
His natal Mars carries that same theme of conflict, and his natal Mercury carries the theme of debate and conversation. So, at the moment of debate, a terrible act of violence was committed in an attempt to silence him.
There is another aspect that is not quite within the usual range of influence, but transiting Mars is only 9 degrees away from making a square to transiting Pluto in Aquarius. Mars-Pluto squares and oppositions often result in conflict, sometimes on a mass scale. The Plutonian element manifests in power struggles, which is clearly evident considering the fact that this act of violence was political terrorism.
Charlie Kirk and the Full Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse of 7 September 2025
Finally, the last and most frightening astrological transit was the blood moon lunar eclipse that took place in Pisces just 3 days prior. Eclipses in ancient astrology were always associated with the death of kings and changing power.
Eclipses represent both beginnings and endings. The ending is the tragic loss of Charlie’s life, but the beginning is the spiritual awakening that will happen in the wake of this tragedy.

We don’t know what house the Pisces eclipse took place in Charlie’s chart, but it would have trined his Mercury-Mars-Pluto conjunction in Scorpio and quincunxed his Sun in Libra.
Charlie Kirk Will Live On
It saddens me to look at these charts and to see the astrological correspondences line up because Charlie had so much good he wanted to keep doing. His work and his spirit will absolutely live on through the millions of people he has impacted, and his death represents a turning point in the spiritual lives of millions who know that they don’t want to live in an America where you could be killed for using your right to free speech.
